It has been awile
Well I know it has been awhile since I have written anything on here. Life has been swept away with Facebook and kids. But I really needed a place to talk pr maybe write out my feelings. I found out on Wednesday nite that my cousin Phyllis ( she is my dad's oldest sister's middle daughter and 64yrs old) had cancer. She was diagnosed 5 weeks ago with cancer in her kidney. They went in to operate 2 weeks later to remove the kidney and found that it had spread to the liver & her lungs. So then they decided to do a full body scan and see where else it had spread and wouldn't you know it but it has moved to her brain as well. She has been in the hospital eer since. Well I got a phone call from my dad tonite and she has passed on. Now some might wonder why this is so upsetting as she is much older than I and only a cousin. But I got to know her as a adult. The first time I remeber meeting her I was 21. So that makes it different in some ways. I don't have childhood memories of her. I have adult memories of a friend who took the time to entertain her cousin she had never met before. I have good memories and will miss our talks. It is hard to say goodbye but I guess I shall with this short prayer. Lord lift Phyllis home with you and give our family the peace of your grace. Help us to fill the gap she is leaving with you. And also help us to remeber the fond memories, her laugh and smile. In your name I pray. Amen.

Laurie, I'm so sorry for your loss. I pray that the Holy Spirit sustains you and the others who will miss her in their lives, also.
Here's a HUG!
